Google Product Experts (What you need to know!)
A very important part of any Google help community are Product Experts. Here is all of the information that you may need to or want to know about them. Below are text and images.
It takes a very long time to even become an actual Product Expert. When you reach bronze, you don't get perks or the product expert title until you get to Silver. It will say "Bronze member", not "Bronze Product Expert", like silver and above. You have to be manually approved by a community manager and you have to meet the requirements below to even be considered. You will have to devote a lot of time to your community, and if your community has very little traffic, this can be very hard.
2. Once you reach gold, you have to sign an NDA.
3. You better respond fast, because it's a race to see whoever gets it right first and gets their answer recommended!
4. Most users won't recommend answers. This is because they either forgot they posted a question, don't know how to (it's easy), or they don't care.
5. Product experts appreciate you recommending their answers. This helps them rank up all the way to diamond by earning 10 points every time one of their answers is recommended.
6. After gold, there is pretty much no benefits except for more opportunities to connect/collaborate with google, and a diamond certificate if you reach diamond. It's pretty much bragging rights after gold.
